Clawback, "seafood's hot sauce," was born in Charleston, SC when we discovered the special bond between the fresh Fresno pepper and the rich seafood flavors of the low country.

Our founder, Dan, has been obsessed with hot sauce since childhood. Growing up he had an entire fridge at his parent's house full of hot sauce. Each sauce was ranked and notes were kept for what kind of food each sauce paired best with. Dan had a favorite hot sauce for everything besides seafood.

Dan's childhood was spent fishing, crabbing and eating any food he could catch from the sea. his passion for seafood and hot sauce collided and the mission became clear: create the go-to sauce for seafood.​

 After teaming up with some of the top culinary minds in Charleston, the vision has become a reality. The Clawback team continues to spread the bold flavor of fresh Fresno peppers to all foodies from coast to coast.
